Battersea Power Station.
SPACE / Phase 3 Communal Spaces
LOCATION / Prospect Place, Wiltshire House, London
BRIEF / To create welcoming and functional areas for residents to enjoy.
Designed by Architects Gehry & Partners, Battersea Power Station Phase 3 is referred to as The Flowerpot due to its sculptural form. Initially, we wanted to draw on the architecture and bring elements of Gehry’s design into the scheme. We kept the design clean and timeless yet with a mid-century feel, this led us to sourcing unique, sculptural pieces that complemented the base build. The palette in all the communal spaces incorporates rough sawn oak wall paneling and Ambar limestone flooring with accents in brushed stainless steel.
We enhanced the neutral, soft palette bringing in dusky blue, ivory, and some small elements of a soft pastel yellow as the street entrance lobbies are all highlighted and differentiated by a pastel tone accent colour.
Since installation, the communal spaces have received great feedback from the Battersea Power Station team, its residents and all that have visited.
