The housing industry has seen significant legislation changes in the last few weeks, providing a much needed boost to house developers and associated companies. Firstly, from 8th July to 31st March 2021, the stamp duty on houses over £500,000 has been reduced, saving purchases significant sums of money and stimulating house purchases. Secondly, the government have imposed new laws in planning permission which will make it quicker to build much-needed new homes by stopping local opponents blocking development. More details are available here
