CELEBRATING A NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH ST BASILS

The Dapa team are extremely proud to announce that on the 7th February we began a new and exciting partnership with the amazing Midlands based charity ‘St Basils.’

St Basils work with young people to enable them to find and keep a home, develop their confidence, skills and provide opportunities to help prevent homelessness. Dapa first met with the charity at a quiz night in Birmingham hosted by St Joseph Homes. Both Rob and Daniel felt an immediate affinity with St Basils and their key values, feeling truly at home with the charity’s mission.

Rob Burton – Director, Dapa comments “I feel genuinely honoured to be working with St Basils. I have some exciting ideas about how Dapa can help make a real difference to a charity making such a fundamental change to so many young people’s lives”.

Daniel Mumford – Director, Dapa adds “It took only 10 minutes of talking with Sian at St Basils to decide that we had to be involved with this incredible cause. We arranged to meet shortly afterwards to discuss further how Dapa could support them”.

There are many opportunities in which Dapa will be providing support including donations from projects, mentoring sessions and providing work experience to young people looking to restart their career. Dapa will also be contributing much needed items of furniture to various projects across the Midlands giving vulnerable young people a nice environment to live in. Our first contribution has been to donate a bespoke corner sofa which is now on its way to a communal lounge in Edgbaston.

The Dapa team will be volunteering at various centres and also attending events throughout 2019 including our first event, ‘Fire Walk’ on Friday 15th February in Digbeth.

Sian Dhillon – Business and Communities Executive at St Basils said “Thank you both for choosing St Basils and our young people to support. It is brilliant to be partnered with a company with such a highly regarded reputation, achieved by you both and your team. The reason we are so pleased about the partnership is we believe we are a very good fit, especially when it comes to our core values. The support that you are offering will make a huge difference to us, our young people and our aim to create comfortable, safe environments that young people can call home. We are extremely grateful.”
